| Short Description | The Greenpower Hippocrates juicer is a twin gear cold press juicer; invented by Mr. Jong G. Kim who in 1993, won first prize in the Bridge Awards at the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh. The Hippocrates juicer is his latest and most advanced model, producing a superior juice to other cold press juicers as the twin gears mesh closely together to deeply open the cellulose wall of the vegetables, extracting the maximum nutritional value. The Hippocrates juicer doubles as a living food processor which can make a range of health foods including nut butters, baby foods, dips, tapenades, pasta and frozen fruit desserts. Optional pasta making kit available. | A single gear cold press juicer with a patented extraction process, the Oscar Vital Max 900 is the most advanced of the original single gear juicer. The Oscar Vital Max 900 features a patented 3 step auger for less pulp and more juice plus a sleek new juicing screen with smaller holes and a silicone seal to prevent juice escaping with the pulp. With this new design, the juicing nozzle is no longer required so there are less parts for cleaning and they are easier to clean than previous & competing models. The Oscar 900 doubles as a living food processor and can make a range of health foods including nut butters, baby foods, dips, tapenades, pasta and frozen fruit desserts. Optional ice shaver/multi slicer available. | The Champion juicer is a masticating cold press juicer. Although not as highly cold pressed as the others, the Champion juicer is faster and produces a creamier ice-cream. The Champion juicer is not suitable for wheatgrass, parsely or green leafy vegetables, some of which can only be juiced in small increments, causing blockages which need to be cleared intermittantly. The Champion 2000+ doubles as a living food processor and can make a range of health foods including nut butters, baby foods, dips, tapenades and frozen fruit desserts. Optional grain mill attachment available. |

The Green Power Hippocrates is a twin gear juice extractor…
The Greenpower Juicer for the more serious health enthusiast – Voted as the “#1 Buyer’s Choice” by Choice Magazine, the Hippocraters juicer by Greenpower produced over double the beta carotene and alpha carotene to any other juicer in the test. Providing the maximum yield and nutrient levels of any juicer, the pulp is dry like sawdust. for more information on the Choice Juicer Report visit http://www.choice.com.au/
The twin gears of the Hippocrates juicer mesh closely together to open the cellulose wall of the vegetables, extracting the maximum nutritional value. The Hippocrates juicer doubles as a living food processor which can make a range of health foods including nut butters, baby foods, dips, tapenades, pasta and frozen fruit desserts. Optional pasta making kit available.
The Oscar Vital Max 900 is a single gear juicer…
The Oscar Juicer is a user-friendly juicing machine, perfect if you wish to juice lots of vegetables and fruits including wheatgrass. This juicer is a complete raw food kitchen including sorbets, pastas, nutbutters, healthy baby foods, dips, tapenades and much more. Clean up time is quick and easy too!
The Oscar Juicer has a food-grade polycarbonate ‘screw’ which uses a ‘mortar and pestle’ crushing and squeezing action to extract the maximum amount of nutrients and living enzymes into a healthy cold pressed juice. Optional Ice Crusher / Multi-Slicer and optional Meat Mincer available.
The Champion 2000+ is a masticating juicer…
The Champion is a high volume masticating juicer with stainless steel blades which are attached to the cutter that spins. The Champion juicer has changed only minimally since 1955. There is only 1 model available in Australia and this is the heavy duty commercial grade 2000+. Optional Grain Mill attachment available.
What can I juice?
The Hippocrates Juicer and The Oscar Vital Max will juice all types of fruit and vegetables, even very fibrous vegetables such as carrots and beetroot and for more stringy leafed vegetables such as celery, silverbeet and wheatgrass. All types of herbs can be juiced such as parsley which is high in iron are great for those on a vegetarian diet. The Champion however, will only juice greens in very small increments. It’s difficult to extract juice from a mango or an apricot, no juicer will extract juice from these very pulpy fruits, but with the Oscar juicer, the Champion juicer and the Hippocrates juicer, these juicers double as living food processors so you can make delicious healthy desserts and recipes from soft fruits.
However, with all our machines, you can use the pulpy fruits to make delicious frozen fruit desserts and frappes.
Nut Butter
All the machines easily make great nut paste or nut butter. If you add oil, a creamier, smoother nut butter will come out. Take any type of nut or a mixture of nuts. Soak them for around six to eight hours if they are hard nuts. Run them through the machine using the mincing accessory. The nut butter will come out the front of the machine.
Pasta or Noodles
* The Oscar juicer comes with all the parts required to make pasta.
* The Hippocrates juicer has a pasta kit that is an optional extra you can purchase.
How does the machine make pasta?
Take whatever type of flour you choose. You can add juice for colour and flavour instead of water as a mixing agent. For pasta, it’s a good idea to add an egg to the mixture. Keep the mixture as dry as you can. Put the mincing screen on and the appropriately shaped nozzle and start putting the mixture through the machine. Catch the pasta on a floured tray to keep the strands separated.

Hi Ubaldine
We can ship to Singapore and India, no problem! Please call or email us and we will assist you to make the best choice in which juicer to buy.
Here are a couple of points to consider when purchasing a juicer…
1. How many people are you juicing for and what quantity of juice are you going to make every day?
2. What are you hoping to achieve from juicing every day?
Here’s a couple of questions most customers ask when trying to decide which of our juicers to buy…
How do I know which juicer is right for me?
Firstly, determine what you want to juice, how often and for how many people. For those who want to juice wheatgrass and green vegetables, an Oscar or Hippocrates is more suitable as the Champion will only do so in small increments. The Hippocrates and Champion can grind to varying degrees and the Oscar includes pasta making attachments. All of the motors are durable and built to last; the Oscar has the slowest RPM, then the Hippocrates followed by the Champion.
Can you explain the different types of extraction?
All of the 3 juicers use a different type of extraction process. The Champion is a masticating juicer; it has stainless steel blades which are attached to the cutter that spins at 1425 RPM. The Oscar is a single gear juicer; it has a food-grade polycarbonate “screw” which uses a mortar and pestle action to crush and squeeze the produce into the juicing screen at the rate of 80-100 RPM. The Green Power Hippocrates is a twin gear juice extractor; the produce is crushed between the stainless steel twin gears which mesh together at 4/1000 of an inch apart, while the gears rotate in opposite directions at 160 RPM.

I have been told that in USA OSCAR is sold under the brand name SAMSON. Is it true? If not, where can i but Oscar Vitalmax for use in USA?
Posted on February 20th, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Hi Neha
The Oscar juicer and the Samson juicer are made in two different factories in Korea. There is a significant difference in the quality of the two machines and the juice they produce.
The Oscar is the original single gear cold press juicer and all other single gear cold press juicers are a design copy of the original Oscar which was first made 10 years ago. The new Oscar has many improvements, such as the silicone seal around the juicing cone to ensure you get the maximum amount of juice from your produce.
To see the quality comparison between the Oscar juicer and other single gear juicers, please visit this page on our dedicated Oscar brand site

pls let me know if your Hippocrates is the same as the Kempo Green Power 1304. If not, pls tell me the differences.
Also does your price for the Hippocrates incl the other optional parts for noodle/pasta/nut butter making?
What is the shipping cost to Singapore like and what sort of after sales service can I expect?
Do you provide the juicer in voltage used in Singapore (220V)? Three pin plug is best!
What is the delivery costs to Sydney as I can have it sent there but just have to wait a little longer for my juicer!
Posted on May 12th, 2009 at 3:35 pm
The Greenpower Hippocrates juicer (GPT-1303) is almost identical to the Greenpower Kempo juicer (GPT-1304) except the Kempo juicer has a plastic locking pin holding the juicing front end in place. The Hippocrates juicer has a stainless steel locking pin mechanism holding the front end in place which is much sturdier.
The MP Option Kit is an additional A$65. You need the additional parts if you wish to make pasta with the Hippocrates juicer. The parts can also be used with the Kempo juicer, they are completely compatible with both models.
We can ship to Singapore, no problem. In regards to your concerns about who will handle the warranty of your product, its unusual to have a problem (percentage is below 1%), but if your juicer arrives and won’t work when you first try to use it, we pay the costs to have it replaced; after first asking you to check the fuse.
If you have had your machine for some time, then its usually a very simple repair and generally we would send parts after liasing with your local appliance repair person if we don’t have a distributor handling warranty claims in your area.
We have distributors in Canada, UK & EU who can handle warranty claims; our overseas market is rapidly expanding and if we don’t have a distributor in your area at present, we expect we will have someone there soon.
All our juicers are 220V, we have 110V juicers available on request and in Canada. The delivery cost to Sydney is A$15 or you can pick it up from our Rockdale Showroom.

I have used the Green Power Gold juicer for 13 years. I juice 7 litres of vegetable juice most weeks. The juice comprises 8 vegetables and apple. I have been extremely happy with the machine. However, machines do not last forever and I am conscious that I will need to replace my Green Power machine sometime in the future. I am pleased to learn that the best juicing machine in the world has been made even greater in the form of the Hippocrates. I would be lost without my juicer.
I live in Adelaide and would like to know how I go about purchasing the Hippocrates. I am a health practitioner with a special interest in nutrition. I intend to use my 30 years teaching experience to offer workshops with groups of my clients to spread the word about the benefits of living juices and to encourage people to invest in a juicer, in particular, the Hippocrates. Do you make provision for someone like me to be a reseller, hence purchasing the machines at a wholesale price and onselling them to my clients?

In the United States we have 110 volt alternating current for households. Will the Greenpower Hippocrates Twin Gear Juicer operate on that?

hi, im from Australia & am interested in the hippo twin gear for my small wheatgrass biz. Can you tell me how fast the hippo will juice wheatgrass? ie. how long with continual opperation does it take th hippo to make 1000mls. or how many mls per minute.

Hi Mark
Thank you for your interest in the Hippocrates juicer for commercial situations. Unfortunately there’s no perfect solution for making large quantities of cold press juice at present. The Hippocrates juicer will make 1 litre of cold pressed juice in approx 10 minutes, but if you try and run it all day, the juicer will stop when it gets hot (it has a safety mechanism installed to protect the motor). Some juice bars committed to providing cold press juice to their patrons are investing in several juicers to keep up with demand!

Hi ‘Vitality4Life’, which one do you own/use for personal home use?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m really torn, its time for me to invest in a high class juicer. I am interested in either the champion or oscar, mainly for juicing fruit n veg occassionally adding herbs, interested in making nut butters and frozen banana icecream possible commercially in the future, not full on commercial but I need the quality capability. Making pasta sounds good is this available with the champion or only the oscar? I notice the champion runs nearly 14 times faster than the oscar does this mean the energy consumption is super high?
Thankyou

Thank you for your interest in the Vitality 4 Life range of juicers.
We have the 3 best juicers in the world in stock….
Oscar, Greenpower Hippocrates and Champion
The Hippocrates is considered the ultimate juicer. The twin gears mesh together more finely than ever before, so more of the cellulose wall is opened during the extraction process – releasing the maximum quantity of enzymes and nutrients into your juice.
To find out more about the magnetic twin gear technology of the Greenpower Hippocrates juicer, click on the link below
http://www.my-greenpower-juicer.com
In October 2007, Choice; Australia’s leading consumer authority, tested the claim that non-centrifugal juicers produce juice that lasts longer and contains more nutrients.
They found that the manufacturers’ claims are true – and Vitality 4 Life has the best juicers!
In fact, Choice has rated the Greenpower Hippocrates #1 and the Oscar Vital Max 900 as #2!
To view the Choice video on this test, please visit the Choice website..

To read more about the test results, please see the attached file.
The Champion doesn’t process wheatgrass or green leafy vegetables so well, but there is a grain mill attachment available which is a feature no other juicer has.
The Champion is also famous for producing the creamiest of ice-cream.
Oscar has been designed for folk that wish to make lots of vegie juice everyday………if that’s what you want to do, you’ll love it.
Oscar uses a patented crush and squeeze action so as to extract the maximum amount of juice (pulp is very dry) and open the cellulose wall to release enzymes and nutrients into your juice.
Oscar has many advantages….
* 20% more juice than other single gear juicers
* less parts for easier cleaning
* silicone seal around the juicing screen means less juice escapes with the pulp
* solid, hard wearing parts
* go to this link to compare our Oscar with other single gear juicers.

Do these juicers make a juice that contains tiny little bubbles, like a light froth that rises to the surface. I think thats horrible in juice ( i dont want to drink air !!! ) and its the reason I´ve never been satisfied with my electric juice machines in the past. For this reason, I always go back to the old-school glass traditional citrus press..Ideally, I´d like a machine that hydraulic-crushes every drop out of the fruit/vegetable …
Do these machines produce juice with bubble-froth ? I´ve noticed in many juice bars that the juice comes like this. Thanks for your help and info
