Chlorine and lead is in everybody’s water, but there are also traces of pesticides, herbicides, industrial solvents, bacteria. Really, every chemical we use in our society works its way into our water supplies.

What people aren’t aware of is that municipal water treatment doesn’t take those things out. It’s designed to kill bacteria, take out the visible particles, but does not take out synthetic organic chemicals; we need to do that in our own homes.

What can those chemicals do to our bodies?

The Distillation Process

Water makes up 70% of our muscles and about 75% of our brain. So it’s not surprising that as minerals and water become depleted, muscle aches and cramps, fatigue and thinking can be affected. “Fluoride Deception” – A review

Christopher Bryson is an investigative journalist formerly employed by the BBC who has written a book called the “Fluoride Deception” (May 2004, 7 Stories Press) he was interviewed by Michael Connett of the Fluoride Action Network for a compelling documentary of the same name available from Google Video.

In this doco Bryson equates Fluoride science with corporate science which he points out has justified as healthy & safe such fantastic products as tobacco, DDT, asbestos, thalydimide, nuclear power and lead in petrol. This kind of junk science Bryson exposes as “a racket” and “fraudulaent science”

Bryson has uncovered documents that show the early connection between the researchers who promoted the flouridation of water (The Mellon Institute – appologists for asbestos) and the aluminium industry. In the 30′s & 40′s Fluoride was a major toxic pollution hazzard. It was the leading source of air pollution in the US. Fluoride was an unreported cause of the worst air pollution disaster in US history in the Donora accident. It was known to be causing widespread agricultural damage and severe health effects on workers. These facts were a major cause for litigation against the polluters. Toxic industries’ response to public pressure to clean up their acts was to seek out a cheap place to dispose their waste. They hit upon the brilliantly Macheavellian strategy of masking Fluoride pollution as a public health positive by dumping it into the drinking water supply.

Fluoride appologists got a a big boost from the nuclear industry as one of the key components of the nuclear bomb testing was large quantities of Fluoride. Dr Harold Hodge cheief toxicologist of Manhatten Project & leading Fluoride advocate was a trusted senior public figure. In 1957 he declared Fluoride “safe @ 1ppm”. The ethics of his assertions regarding Fluoride are called into serious question by the fact that he is now known to have been the co-orchestrator of human plutonium experiements 1945-6 and had a serious vested interest in covering up the massive Fluoride pollution problems inherent in his activities testing nukes.

Independent research critical of flouridation has been aggressively suppressed to prevent the flood of litigation that would follow the revelations regarding its toxic effects. Credible researchers were sacked and intimidated. Serial spin doctors for such causes as lead in petrol and tobbacco were paid astronomical sums to promote adding Fluoride to water supplies. Front organisations with fine sounding names were set up and funded by Fluoride polluting industries. Those daring to speak out against the carefully constructed orthodoxy were pilloried as paranoid quacks. The effects of these campaigns carry on to the present day.

Many places around the world not so influenced by the US industries have rejected flouridation. Europe has largely bypassed the mass medication of its citizens. Queensland Australia has resisted for many years but has only recently succumbed to the pressure to flouridate. Individuals can act to lobby their legislators to prevent or remove flouridation from their water supplies and we can remove a large percentage of Fluoride from their water supplies by choosing a water filter.

This is a disturbing and alarming documentary but one that anyone concerned about environmental and human health should not shy away from. Have a look at it!

The importance of “healthy water” and where to get it may very well be the most beneficial health information any of us can learn. The simple fact that our body is over 70% water, tells us how extremely important its quality is. Without an abundant intake of healthy, chemical free water… every other wellness effort is to a large degree in vain.

While every health and wellness expert will agree on the importance of “healthy water”, most have different opinions on its definition and source. The fact is that it’s no longer a matter of opinion. There’s now enough credible scientific data on the subject for a logical and reasonable conclusion.

The healthiest water doesn’t come from your tap, doesn’t come in a bottle, it doesn’t come from distillation or reverse osmosis… it comes from “selective filtration”. All tap water contains trace levels of synthetic chemicals, heavy metals, parasites and/or chlorination by-products that pose significant health risks. We can either filter out these poisons prior to consumption, or we force our body to become the filter.

Many have switched to bottled water under the false assumption that its’ purity is assured to be better than tap. The truth is that bottled water is only required to be “as good as” tap… not better. And the Federal guidelines that govern bottled water quality only apply if it is transported across state lines. Most bottled water is bottled and sold within the same state in order to avoid regulation. It’s an industry built on deception. Bottled water is currently the fastest growing and most profitable segment of the entire beverage industry. “Companies that market bottled water as being safer than tap water are defrauding the public.”

The old school of thought was that distilled and reverse osmosis water were the healthiest, also now known to be untrue. Both of these methods were designed over 40 years ago for industrial purposes as they are “demineralizing” processes. Once you strip the trace minerals from water, the pH drops and the water becomes aggressive or acidic. Water by nature will always seek to balance its pH. If we consume de-mineralized water, it will pull minerals from our body, primarily calcium, to seek that balance. There are several very credible research reports and books that stress the more recent opinion that long term consumption of de-mineralized water can in fact be dangerous. Dr. Zolton Rona‚ author of The Joy of Health‚ states that “the longer one consumes distilled water‚ the more likely the development of mineral deficiencies and an acid state.” Dr. Paavo Airola‚ cancer expert and author of “How to Get Well” and “Cancer… Causes‚ Prevention and Healing” also reports that “long term consumption of distilled water eventually results in multiple mineral deficiencies.”

Two very negative things happen when we consume water that has been stripped of its natural minerals. First‚ because demineralized water contains more hydrogen it is an acid with a pH below seven. Any time we consume an acid substance our body will pull minerals from our teeth and bones to produce bicarbonate in order to neutralize the acid.
Second‚ it has been proven that when our body fluids become more acid than alkaline the production of free
radicals increases‚ causing increased cancer risks. Many studies suggest that cancer cells can only grow in an acid environment. This theory seems to be supported by the fact that around the world the areas where people live the longest most disease free lives are the areas that have the most alkaline water‚ water with the highest mineral content. Neither of these processes are very effective at removing synthetic organic chemicals since all SOCs and VOCs are molecularly smaller and vaporize at lower temperatures than water.

The most recent and most effective technologies for truly healthy water are “selective filtration” systems that can distinguish between contaminants and trace minerals. They are also the most convenient, the most economical and produce the best tasting water. Home water filtration is no longer a luxury… it’s a necessity!
