EasyGreen Sprouter - Wheatgrass - Sprouts
Product Description
Easy Green sprouter
simply add seeds and water
The automatic sprouter by Easy Green takes the mess out of sprouting. If you love consuming fresh sprouts but have had difficulty with the continuing process required to grow them such as pre-soaking and rinsing (between 3 and 6 times a day), then this sprouter is the perfect compliment to your living food kitchen.
The Easy Green sprouter automatically soaks, rinses, mists, oxygenates and drains the sprouts ready for you to eat in about 7 - 10 days. This sprouter has 5 trays so you can sprout an abundant mix of organic sprouting seeds at the one time such as alfalfa, broccoli, lentil, mung, sunflower and wheatgrass. The trays can be placed directly into the fridge. This is the only domestic unit which can easily be turned into a commercial application as the units can be stacked up to five or 6 high.
Why are sprouts so good?
Sprouts have the greatest nutrient activity of all raw foods. This is because sprouts are actually still in the process of growing. They are at the peak of their life force.
The body readily absorbs these nutrients from sprouts, and they are easily digested. This saves your body energy. Because sprouts, or germinated seeds, are pre-digested food, they have what's called a "higher biological efficiency value" than whole seeds, whether raw or cooked.
Sprouts also have a regenerating effect on the human body. Why? It's due to the high concentration of RNA, DNA, protein and essential minerals that's found only in living cells.
Easy Green Sprouter is the easiest sprouter to use
Patented technology
Seeds that are sprouting generate heat during germination and need to be cooled to avoid mould and rotting. This seed sprouter is so successful because water is misted onto the seed using a timer set to 96 activations. This is critical to controlling the humidity which affects the sturdiness of your sprouts. Sprouts require little water but abundant amounts of oxygen. Other automated sprouters and conventional sprouting methods supply plenty of water yet only provide natural air displacement.
Economical water
This sprouter uses about 2.3 litres of water in 24 hours due to its fine misting activity. The EasyGreen drains all water out of the machine directly into you pipes or into a bucket. Inhibitors in seeds are the natural defense mechanism of the seeds, acting as a deterrent for germs and bugs. Some sprouters re-circulate the same water. Your sprouts are then irrigated with water containing toxins and inhibitors, defeating the concept of using clean, good water for your sprouts. Bearing in mind that sprouts consist of 80% water, using clean water makes sense. Some automatic irrigation systems use 5 times this amount.
No pre-soaking
Conventional sprouters require a pre-soaking operation of between 8 and 24hrs before commencing the propagation of the seed. The Easy Green requires NO pre-soaking. Seeds are placed in the tray or cartridge DRY and the machine takes over, thus saving you an extra day of pre-soaking and the manual handling of the repeat daily rinsing.
Choose the quality of water
The in-built reservoir allows you to choose the type of water you want sprayed over your sprouts and allows for liquid minerals to be added.
Soil or hydroponic
Some growers prefer to use soil for some crops such as wheatgrass or sunflower greens. The Easy Green allows sprouts to be grown in soil and hydroponically.
EasyGreen - easy clean
The EasyGreen has an automatic disinfecting cycle, therefore keeping high sanitation conditions within the machine. Only large commercial systems have a similar function.
Food grade quality
The EasyGreen sprouter uses food grade quality trays and cartridges in accordance with DFA regulations.
Removable trays
Sprouts taken out of conventional systems need to be placed in a secondary storage container for refrigeration. Easygreen trays can be placed directly into the fridge for later use.
Unique rotation system
According to Dr Ann Wigmore, a 5 day growing cycle for seeds such as alfalfa, broccoli, radish, clover and the similar is ideal. The Easygreen is the only system on the market which uses five trays, allowing you to rotate your crops.

- Radish sprouts are high in vitamin C and potassium and have a rich flavor
- Wheat is high in Vitamins B, C, and E and has three times the vitamin E of dry wheat. Wheat also has many minerals.
- Mung Beans: These sprouts should be sprouted under pressure to produce long and juicy sprouts. Mung bean sprouts are an excellent source of protein, vitamin C, A and E, along with many minerals
- Green Pea sprouts are rich in many of the B vitamins and vitamin C. Green pea sprouts make a rich addition to any green salad.
- Soybeans: An extremely rich source of protein and vitamins A, B, C and E. Soybeans are rich in minerals and lecithin. They can be sprouted under pressure like mung beans

- Lentils: Rich in protein, vitamin C and the B vitamins. They have a mild ground pepper flavor
- Buckwheat: Makes a great salad green. High in vitamins A, B, C and D
